The Music City is alive and well with music of all kinds. As supporters of the local scene, we are proud to introduce the “Acme Unplugged” Songwriter Series, presented by Wrangler Jeans.

As you’ve come to expect from Acme, this type of event has no boundaries – we’ll be featuring new artists, up-and-comers, established Nashville mainstays, and everything in between. If you’re a Nashville songwriter, you fit the bill!

Here’s a taste of our opening acts for the evening of January 25:

A Canadian native, Phil O’Donnell has been a Nashville local for 20+ years. His illustrious career began as a guitarist for artists like Craig Morgan and Jeff Carson. Phil also holds songwriter’s credits for #1 hits like Blake Shelton’s “Doin’ What She Likes”, and George Strait’s 60th #1 hit “Give It All We Got Tonight.” From performing artist (guitarist), #1 songwriter, and producer, this Jack of All Trades has done it all.

Kendell Marvel feels honored to write songs for a living. Not only does Kendell feel a tremendous sense of gratitude and purpose to his work, Country music icons are taking notice. Most notably, Kendell’s tracks have been cut by the likes of Jake Owen, Lee Ann Womack, and Travis Tritt to name a few. Come hear these famous tracks performed in their original form – you won’t be disappointed.

Casey Beathard’s journey to songwriting was probably the last thing he or his parents expected of him. It would have been easy for Casey to follow his father’s footsteps – a former GM of 3 NFL football teams and owner of 7 Super Bowl Rings – into a career in football.

Casey made the most natural decision and became a self-proclaimed “wannabe” musician in Nashville, but that didn’t last long. When artists like Kenny Chesney, Gary Allan, and Tracy Byrd start recording your songs, it’s pretty clear what you are doing is working.

This journey is far from over, and Casey won’t be writing this fairy tale ending any time soon.

Doors open at 6:00pm and the writers will be jamming from 7:00pm-10:00pm. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased in advance here!

This is an event you won’t want to miss! Stay tuned for more information about future Songwriter Series events in the coming weeks.
